Act I The World

Commerce system Online

AUSILUX Studio

We make Shopify work like your business actually works.

Commerce engineering for Shopify businesses.

Storefront Active

The storefront is only the beginning.

  • Content
  • Search
  • Product data
  • Markets
  • Checkout
  • Orders
  • Tracking
  • Performance
  • Accessibility
  • Integrations

  9. AI / Intelligence
  10. Data
  11. Marketing

Act II The System

Commerce got complicated.

More apps.More hand-offs.More work.More risk.Same problem.

You don’t have a Shopify problem. You have a systems problem.

What the strain looks like

  1. 01Duplicate entryThe same order is keyed into a spreadsheet by hand.
  2. 02Manual hand-offSomeone carries the update from the warehouse to shipping.
  3. 03Status driftShipping and support disagree about where an order is.
  4. 04Delayed acknowledgementA step waits for a confirmation that arrives late.
  5. 05Ownership gapNo one owns the connection between two systems.
  6. 06Visibility gapNo single place shows the whole flow.

Commerce system Organised

One partner. Every layer of Shopify.

We map the hand-offs, keep what works, and engineer the missing layer.

How the system is organised

  1. Experience
    • Marketing
    • Storefront
    • Checkout
  2. Platform
    • Orders
    • Inventory
    • Payments
    • Apps ×2 (extension points)
  3. Intelligence
    • Data
    • AI / Intelligence
  4. Operations
    • Warehouse
    • Shipping
    • Support

Act III The Capabilities

01Build

Build the part customers see.

But make the architecture underneath just as considered.

  1. 01Custom Shopify storefronts
    Underneath:
    • Product data
    • Search
  2. 02Theme architecture
    Underneath:
    • Sections
    • Metaobjects
  3. 03Shopify Markets
    Underneath:
    • Markets
  4. 04Performance
    Bears on the foundation courses
  5. 05Conversion
    Underneath:
    • Tracking
  6. 06Headless when justifiedConditional
    Bears on the whole foundation

One considered system, beneath every module:

  • Accessibility
  • Performance

02Extend

When Shopify stops, we keep building.

Shopify is designed to be extended. Where your business works differently, we build at the extension points it provides.

  1. Default Shopify

Used as it is, wherever it already fits.

    • In the rules it applies: Shopify Functions
    • At checkout: Checkout UI Extensions
    • In the admin: Admin Extensions
    • In customer accounts: Customer Account Extensions
    • In store: POS Extensions
    • Data in and out: GraphQL and APIs
    • When something happens: Webhooks
  2. Ausilux

Adds the logic only your business needs.

    • Custom business logic
    • Custom Shopify Apps
  3. Your business

Runs the way it actually works.

03Connect

Your stack should behave like one system.

An order touches every system you run. Connected properly, each one does its part and confirms it, and a missed reply is noticed, not lost.

Illustrative: one order across a connected stack

  1. Order event

Placed once. Every system starts from it.

    Shopify

    1. Sent
    2. Acknowledged
  2. Payment captured

The payment is confirmed against this order.

    Payments

    1. Sent
    2. Acknowledged
  3. Inventory allocated

Stock is set aside, so it isn't sold twice.

    Inventory

    1. Sent
    2. Acknowledged
  4. Warehouse task generated

The pick job reaches the warehouse team.

    Warehouse system (WMS)

    1. Sent
    2. No acknowledgement
    3. Retried
    4. Acknowledged

Sent again after no reply: one task, not two.

  5. Shipping label created

The parcel gets a label and tracking.

    Shipping

    1. Sent
    2. Acknowledged
  6. Customer notified

The customer hears what happens next.

    Customer messaging

    1. Sent
    2. Acknowledged
  7. Data updated

    Reports show what actually happened.

    Data and analytics

    1. Sent
    2. Acknowledged

Every step acknowledged, one on a retry. Anything still unconfirmed goes to a person.

04Automate

One workflow saves minutes. A system of them changes how a business operates.

Much of the everyday work in commerce follows rules. Written down and connected, those rules handle the routine across the systems you run.

Illustrative: workflows written as rules

  1. 01 Inventory alerts

    When
    Stock at a location changes.
    If
It falls below the reorder point.
    Then
Flag the product and tell purchasing.
    Your team
Decides whether to reorder, and how much.
  2. 02 Order routing

    When
    An order is placed.
    If
One location can fulfil every item.
    Then
Send it there to be picked and packed.
    Your team
Decides how to split orders that don't fit.
  3. 03 Returns

    When
A customer asks to return an item.
    If
It is inside the returns policy.
    Then
Send a return label and update the order.
    Your team
    Reviews anything outside the policy.
  4. 04 Fraud escalation

    When
    An order is placed.
    If
It is flagged as high risk.
    Then
Hold it before it is fulfilled.
    Your team
Reviews it, then releases or cancels it.

Rules feed each other: an order sent to a location changes its stock, and that starts the inventory rule.

Each rule is small enough to read at a glance. Anything a rule can't decide goes to your team.

05Intelligence

Automation follows rules. Intelligence understands context.

AI where it earns its place.

Customers don't write in fields. Read against the order your system already holds, one message becomes a clear next step. Your team decides when judgement matters.

Illustrative: one message and its order record

Customer message

My order was supposed to arrive yesterday and I need it tomorrow for an event.

Order record

Fulfilment
Shipped
Expected delivery
Yesterday
Carrier
Delay reported

Interpretation

Intent
Delayed delivery
From the message: “supposed to arrive yesterday”
Sentiment

From the message: “need it tomorrow for an event”
Status
Carrier delay
From the order record: carrier delay reported
Recommended action

From intent, sentiment and status together

06Grow

Engineering should create momentum.

The store is not finished when it launches. We measure what happens next and improve the system around real customer behaviour.

Growth loop

  1. Acquire
    • Paid acquisition
    • Technical SEO
    • Landing pages
  2. Convert
    • CRO
    • Merchandising
  3. Retain
    • Lifecycle
  4. Learn
    • Tracking
    • Analytics
  5. Improve
    • Experimentation

Changes go back into the running system.

    • Store
    • Product
    • Automation
    • Data

    Then back to Acquire.

Growth isn't another department. It's feedback into the system.
